Project with Ty

I never really could relate to the saying 'One man's garbage is another man's treasure' until my roomate and I took a trip to DI for fun. We were looking for a cheap TV stand to put in our living room when we saw this old coffee table. Well, it was only $10 so I decided it would be fun to try and fix it up! So I bought it. I took it to my brother Eric's house in Lehi and started sanding the table in their backyard, and soon found I wasn't the only one interested in fixing up this table. My nephew Ty thought it would be fun to help. Haha, well he pretty much took charge of the project and started telling me where to paint and what to do. I couldn't keep from laughing at Ty because he was so into it. When we were called inside for dinner, Ty said "I can't right now, I'm working." I don't think I would have enjoyed fixing up this table as much if I didnt have my little sidekick to help me! We had SOOO much fun, and we did a pretty good job for a first timer and a 4 year old! It was definently worth the $10!

Friday night I was able to go to the Oquirrh Mountain temple open house with some of my family. This is the second open house I have been able to go to in a couple months, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity. During the open houses, there was a couple assigned to speak to us in the sealing room. Both of them spoke of the importance of family and the blessings of being sealed together forever. After each time leaving the temple, I have felt SO grateful for the gospel and my family. I consider these two things the greatest blessings in my life, because without them, I wouldnt be who I am.

As I have gotten older, I have realized how important my family is to me. I have learned that even though different people walk in and out of my life, and things are constantly changing around me, I can always count on my family to be there. Each person in my family means so much to me, and I look up to them all SO much! I have learned so much from their examples and friendship. I truly am so lucky to be surrounded by such an amazing family. I am so grateful for the blessing to know that no matter what happens, I will always have them in my life FOREVER!
This summer, I have been able to spend alot of time with my family. We have had so much fun together, and spending time with my family has been the highlight of my summer by far. I Love you ALL :)

Interchangeable Watches

My sister Kimberlee makes these cute watches. They are so fun! You can mix and match the bracelets with the watch faces. Over the weekend Kim and I made a ton of different styles and colors. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAIT--

Two weeks ago we went to a concert for Kaitlyns birthday! Her favorite band is Cute is What We Aim For and they played with Breathe Carolina, Meg and Dia, Anarbor, and Every Avenue. We were right up front, but we had to stand next to these bratty girls that kept trying to start a fight with us. It was pretty funny and we just ignored them. We were so close that Kaitlyn stole a pic that the guitar player in front of us set down on the stage... she was pretty proud of herself haha! The concert was so much fun... but it was 6 HOURS LONG!

MISSION CALL--
Mallori got her mission call and is serving in the New Hampshire Manchester mission! She will make such a great missionary and I am SO excited for her! She has always been such great friend and good example to me! Everyone keeps asking what im going to do when she is gone haha... and one person even said, "You are going to die without your best friend!" Although I am going to miss all our fun and goofy times and having my best friend live next door, I know she is doing the right thing and will be so great as a missionary!

CONFERENCE WEEKEND--
This last weekend I went to Vernal to watch conference with my family and see some old friends. To tell you the truth, I wasn't so excited. It was the first time I had been home since christmas, but I ended up having a blast! It was good to see some of my family and hang out with friends. It made me realize how blessed I am to be surrounded by so many good people. I really couldn't ask for better family or friends.
Friday night we went around town and took pictures with random things! (like the dino dressed as HAPPY BIRTHDAY) Mal, Shannon, and I had a couple near death experiences, but it was fun. Saturday night we had game night with a couple friends who just got home off of missions. Brogan, Joe, Trevor, Sean, Kevin, Mal, Shannon, and I had so much fun. I seriously haven't laughed that much in a while. Then after games some of us went on a night hike! Here are some pictures from the weekend!

Spring Break in Oregon

For spring break, I flew up to Portland to visit my sister Melissa and her family. We had such a fun time! On Saturday, we went to the coast. It was windy and chilly, but McKall and I rolled up our pants and played in the water. She was soaking and freezing, but she loved the ocean and wanted to keep playing. The beach is one of my favorite places to be and I could have stayed there all day too! Too bad it wasn't warm enough to lay out...

Missy, Kally, and I also did a yoga video while Trevin was taking a nap. It only held McKalls attention for a little bit, but she was so funny to watch! It was so hard to do on the wood floors because it hurt, but we had some pretty awesome yoga mats ;) right Missy? Kally and I had so much fun playing together! We made a blanket fort in the living room, played kitchen, watched movies, played games, and had a sleepover! She followed my every move and I miss her so much! It was a short trip, but I loved spending time with my sis and brother in law and my cute neice and nephew. Kally is so much fun and Trevin is such a happy baby! I LOVE BEING AN AUNT! Thanks Missy for the fun weekend! Miss you guys already!

Yesterday was Malloris birthday, so a bunch of us went out to celebrate. We went to Applebees for dinner, it was so much fun! We made it there after 9 so all of the appetizers were half off, and it was karaoke night so there was fun music! This is probably one of my favorite things to do now! The food was delicious, and I'm glad I have some leftovers for lunch today!

After dinner, we watched The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. It was such a good movie, but VERY sad. It was about a Nazi soldiers' little boy who makes friends with a Jewish boy across the fence at a concentration camp. The movie was slow in parts, but if you haven't seen it yet, I would recommend it! All in all it was a good night! Happy 21st Mallori!

First Post

On Saturday, Kaitlyn, Mallori, and I decided to go ride our unicycles down provo trail. First we had to go fill up our flat tires with air at the gas station. Everyone kept asking us if we really knew how to ride. I guess outside of Vernal unicycles aren't that popular haha :) It was such a nice day and it was so fun to ride again! We didn't get very far because it hurt--lol-- but we still had a blast. Here are some fun pictures we took! What a fun day...
